Understanding the difference between Online and Offline learning

Image
By Sultan Dimas Erdhiarto (1209624110) Learning in an online class often feels different from learning face-to-face. While both methods aim to educate students, they differ in several key aspects such as flexibility, structure, and engagement. Online learning is usually more flexible, allowing students to access materials and complete assignments anytime and anywhere. In contrast, face-to-face learning typically follows a fixed schedule and requires physical attendance. Student engagement also varies between the two. In face-to-face settings, teachers can directly monitor students and encourage participation through live discussions. On the other hand, online learning can make it harder for students to stay focused, especially when there is a lack of interaction or timely feedback. In conclusion, although both learning methods share the same goal, their differences in delivery and experience make each one unique.

Fast Food VS Homemade

Image
By Khaylila Khansa Tito (1209624031) In terms of health, cost, and convenience, fast food and homemade food are very different. Starting with health, fast food is generally unhealthy. It contains excessive amounts of salt, sugar, and oil, ingredients that contribute to weight gain and high blood pressure. On the other hand, homemade food is certainly healthier because we can choose fresh ingredients and cook them in a healthier and more hygienic way. Secondly, in the long run, fast food is actually more expensive. It may seem cheaper at first, but in reality, it only provides one meal. In contrast, when we cook at home, we can prepare larger portions for the same cost, and the food can be used for several meals a day, making it far more economical. Lastly, fast food is more convenient. We can get it quickly, and we don’t have to cook or clean up afterward, which is very tempting. However, homemade food clearly requires more time, not only to prepare and cook, but also to clean up. In c...

Clear Water and Sanitazion

Image
By Khaylila Khansa Tito (1209624031) Recently, a lot of Indonesian people in some areas are still using the river for drinking, washing, and even bathing. This happened due to the lack of access to clean water at their home. Some areas do not have clean wells or good drainage, so people have no choice but to use the river. But river water can be unclean and also might carry illnesses if being consumed or used. This causes people to fall ill, especially children and the elderly. One solution to this may involve building more clean water facilities, especially in villages and small towns. It would be best if the government and local villagers worked together to build a simple and clean water system, such as a water tank or a water filter. Additionally, education is also important. People need to know why clean water is important and how to keep their water sources safe and clean, as water is a basic need for everyone. In conclusion, if there are more people willing to help support these ...

Climate Change

Image
By Sultan Dimas Erdhiarto (1209624110) and Ferziandra Divananda Kartono (1209624112) Climate change is a growing problem that is largely affected by human activities. One major cause of climate change is deforestation, where trees that should help us maintain the climate by reducing carbon dioxide in the air are cut down. This can lead to some animals losing their habitat, extreme weather events, rising average temperatures, and rising sea levels. Another major contributor to climate change is the excessive use of electricity, which is mostly produced by burning fossil fuels. This process can release a large amount of carbon emissions into the air, further accelerating climate change. One possible solution to this problem is to start saving electricity. If we started using less electricity, fewer fossil fuels would be burned in the process. How can we use less electricity? The simplest thing is to turn off the electric devices when its not being used. Another way to reduce carbon emiss...

Human Caused Water Pollution and Its Environmental Consequences

Image
By Sultan Dimas Erdhiarto (1209624110) Water pollution has become one of the most serious environmental problems the world needs to face today, and its causes are deeply rooted in human activity. A major contributor to water pollution is industrial waste, which often contains harmful chemicals. A lot of the time, factories dump these substances into rivers, which lead to the oceans. These can contaminate drinking water sources, which can affect daily human life. Agricultural runoff is also another major cause for water pollution, when farmers use chemical fertilizers and pesticides, rainwater can wash off and carry these chemicals into nearby streams of water. Additionally, drinking water pollution can happen via the pipes themselves if the water is not properly treated, which leads to contamination. The effects of water pollution can cause algae bloom in the marine environment, which can create dead zones or low oxygen areas known as eutrophication. This causes plants and animals to s...

The Positive Impact of Regular Exercise on Sleep Quality

Image
By Ferziandra Divananda Kartono (1209624112) Regular physical exercise has a significant positive impact on sleep quality in adults. One of the main reasons for poor sleep quality is stress, anxiety, and an irregular sleep schedule. Moving your body in a form of exercise helps as a natural stress reliever. After exercising, our brain produces happy hormones such as serotonin, which improves mood. This reduced stress condition and also reduced the level of cortisol in our body, which promotes a state of mental relaxation. As a result, people who engage in physical activities, especially high intesity workouts like weightlifting, running, and biking tend to fall asleep quicker and better rest in their sleep. Exercise also helps our body to build and sync our body's internal clock. This sync in our body's internal clock helps us to have a scheduled sleep, which in turn improves the sleep-wake cycle and overall sleep efficiency. According to recent studies, including the one from t...

Cheetah: A Swift and Elegant Predator

Image
By Khaylila Khansa Tito (1209624031) The cheetah is the fastest land animal in the world. It has a slender body covered in golden fur with black spots, a small, round head, and long, powerful legs. Its long tail helps it maintain balance while running. Cheetahs are mostly found in the savannas and grasslands of Africa. They are carnivores, meaning they hunt and eat animals such as gazelles and hares. Unlike other big cats, cheetahs rely on their incredible speed rather than sheer strength to catch their prey. They are usually solitary, although mother cheetahs stay with their cubs until they are old enough to survive on their own. Many people admire cheetahs for their grace, speed, and great hunting skills. In addition, cheetahs have sharp eyes and black stripes on their faces that help reduce glare from the sun, allowing them to see prey clearly from a distance. Unfortunately, the cheetah population is currently declining due to habitat loss, poaching, and human conflict, making them ...
